• You can definitely use the laptop with a mouse, or with the touchpad built into the frame!

• Yes you can use it without a mouse but you won’t want to. The finger pad on the laptop is not stable at all( at least on mine). Changing the sensitivity settings didn’t help. Spend the $ for a wireless mouse or better yet look for a better laptop. Just because it’s an HP doesn’t make it good. Spend a little more. Don’t cheap out like I did and wind up with something you’re not happy with.
