“Can this laptop be charged via the USB-C by an external powerbank? Also, 1. What size is the battery? and 2. Will this laptop still run after the battery has reached end of life and won't take a charge any more, if it is plugged in? Thanks”

The USB-C port on this model does not support charging. The USB-C port will only support data transfer. The battery is a 3-cell, 41 Wh Li-ion battery. You would still be able to use the laptop with the wall charger even if the battery does not hold a charge anymore.
