If you choose to get out of S Mode, it would actually switch to the full Windows 10 Home operating system. In Windows 10 S Mode, you can only download apps from the Microsoft store or use Microsoft Edge browser. Windows 10 Home allows you to download whatever you want to the computer that fits your needs, i.e. Chrome or Firefox browsers.
