“I am trying to connect to a second monitor using a USB-C hub, but the laptop won't "detect" the new monitor. There is a "P" on the monitor cable. Restarting doesn't help. What am I overlooking? Not for video. Do I need to enable/disable something?”

• The USB-C 3.0 port on this laptop has a maximum throughput of 5 GBit and does not support DisplayPort (or any display).

• The problem is that the USB-C port on the computer does not have the capability to drive an external monitor.
