“Is it recommended that I get any extras when I purchase this laptop? I'm not considering getting insurance as I have owned many types of electronics and have never damaged any. I've never purchased a laptop on my own before so any suggestions?”

Considering the low price and the fact that this is not a high-end laptop I wouldn't bother with the insurance.
