2 slots total. 1 x 4gb pc3l-12800 is installed from factory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the laptop can be upgraded with RAM. Currently has 1x4GB DDR3L (PC3L 12800s) Samsung stick. Has two slots available, with verified 16gb MAX (2x8gb). As another said previously, will only run in single channel. Remember that the onboard GPU will take 1gb of RAM. I installed 8gb (2x4gb) and windows shows 8gb installed, 7gb usable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had this same computer for 4 years it was out when windows 8 came out. I bought two of them and both are running strong. you can upgrade the memory to 8GB it has two slots for memory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.****M.2 2280 SSD***** is there a slot??? Yes, from the picture it seems to have two RAM slots (any idea on max ram,, I read 8GB somewhere?) Thanks for the pic and RAM info. (could anyone possibly upload a large up-close photo to determine M.2 Slot) I ordered the laptop, and there is no info anywhere on the internet for what's under the hood (motherboard specs). Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In addition, this CPU only support single channel RAM. Additional RAM should not increase its performance (especially GPU) except multitasking ability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, the ram is upgradable. it says that you can put another 4gb ddr3 ram, but some people have been putting two 8gb sticks for sixteen and they say it works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I had the same question, it does support 2 slots, but I didn't try yet. you can check it in windows task manager, second tab.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Generally most any laptop today has 2 slots
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you are not able to upgrade the RAM in this laptop. It will place a "hardware reserved" status on any extra RAM you try to add yourself. This means that Windows cannot use the extra RAM. None of the fixes you find online will change the hardware reserved status. I tried them all, trust me. I've spent 10 days trying to fix this, and I know a lot about computers. The fix is buried within the BIOS, but they lock the "advanced" option in the BIOS so that you cannot see it or reach it. If you try to modify your BIOS file to unlock the advanced tab, it will brick your laptop. Do not buy this laptop thinking you can upgrade the RAM. The only way would be an authorized service center, and even then I'm not sure they can get past the BIOS protections. However you can upgrade the hard drive to an SSD. But 4 GB RAM is the limit here.
