• Yes, a CD/DVD burner. It will not read or write to a Blu-Ray disc.

• In the picture the laptop does not appear to have a CD burner. But I was at my local best buy yesterday and there was one when I saw it.

• Read the specs. It has an optical drive. The weakest thing about this model is the processor. At this price point look for an Intel processor. They are faster than the AMD's used in these cheaper models.
