AMD chips run hot. Every HP laptop I've purchased has run hot & they have all had AMD chips in them. Seriously, try an Intel chip next time and get an SSD drive. Almost no heat, and never hear a fan... Best Regards (google this problem to see if anyone has run across a fix for your laptop, HP had updated the BIOS for a download on one of my hot laptops)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All laptops do, buy one of those power fans you put underneath the laptop, it will both cool and save your laptop much longer in life span. I had one, and my old laptop is still running thanks for the fan I bought as an extra cooling device. They run about 15 bucks or so here at BestBuy.

Laptops need all of their fan and exhaust ports clear at all time to bring in air for cooling, and to exhaust hot air to get it out of the system. If you don't allow for that, the laptop can overheat and shut down, or even get damaged. If you aren't putting the laptop on a surface that retains heat and/or blocks air ports though, it does sound odd that it's getting hot just browsing. AMD chips are hot, but not usually THAT hot. It may be you have a bad laptop or maybe this series has a poorly designed heat dissipation system in general because it's cheap. Any Laptop can get hot regardless of the chip inside (Intel or AMD) if the heat dissipation system isn't designed well. Same with Desktops as well. Computers need good cooling to be comfortable to use and to run well without thermal throttling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a huge processor that is always going.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well what most people do!!! That your all guilty of is, You put you notebook on your lap or bed or soft surface where the computer can't have proper ventilation THAT it's one main reason any laptop over heats no matter which processor it has or if you just web surfing because the person is not allowing it to good air circulation
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have wondered the same and worry if it may be a problem
