• Yes you can upgrade it to 16GB but be warned the RAM specs are wrong it is DDR4 (PC4) RAM not the listed DDR3(PC3) found out the hard way when i went to add my memory to find DDR4 after paying for DDR3

• It states it has 6 GBs of DDR3L on board (One slot), but is expandable to 16 GBs, 2 slots. I am actually surprised at that, usually a Laptop in this price range is only expandable to 8 GBs, so that is a HUGE plus. You can get all that info from HP's website, or talk/chat with BestBuy, or their Geek-Squad, on how to expand the memory. That is REALLY a huge advantage.
