Hello. Thanks for your question. We apologize for any confusion. According to the service manual for this HP Laptop - 15-ef1013dx, the RAM is not customer accessible or upgradeable. A qualified tech can upgrade the RAM up to 16 GB DDR4-2666. When it says it is not customer accessible or upgradeable, that means that the RAM is hidden behind something else on the motherboard, i.e. battery. That is why it is recommended that you would have a qualified tech do the RAM upgrade.
