    • Answer This is very easy and very simple to do. The laptop runs fine and I've had no issues after performing this action on mine. Microsoft would love for you to only use their software and their browser of course, but there is no major drawback to not doing so. Feel free to install and update you AV software and you should be just fine. Note: That's whether you leave it in S-Mode or not btw. Lol

  • Questioncan you run photoshop on this machine?

    • Answer You can definitely run Photoshop, but it will drive you crazy while you wait for it to finish operations. That will be true even if you add RAM to go to the 16GB mark. If you check the Adobe website, you will see that they recommend a separate graphics card that has specific minimum attributes for OPTIMUM performance. Instead, I would recommend something like an MSI gaming laptop. In general, they tend to be better priced. Your other option is a desktop, which will be cheaper for the same or even better performance.

  • QuestionWondering what is the clock speed for this laptop processor. I see a note about "CPU Boost Clock Frequency" in the full specs but would like to know the general normal operating clock frequency, in order to compare how fast it is against other options.

    • Answer Thank you for your question about the processor in this HP laptop! Intel only gave the maximum turbo frequencies in the spec sheets on their site. This model uses the Intel Core i3-1215U processor, which has a top Performance Core speed of 4.4GHz and a top Efficiency Core speed of 3.3GHz. The processor is variable in its speed based on the computing loads. There was no information for the bottom rage speeds of each core type.
