Assuming you are storing the average 15 megapixel (15 million pixels) jpg, you can store 500000 (half a million) pictures, as it is a 1 terabyte drive. Of course, things like the operating system and anything you install will make the number smaller, but You probably won't need that many pictures Each 15 megapixel jpg is about 1.8 megabytes. We can round that to 2 megabytes A terabyte is 1 million megabytes. 1 million/2 is your answer. If you really need more, you can get an external hard drive. If you do have that many pictures, look for a 7200 rpm hdd, with at least a few terabytes of storage
