This laptop has a 30 day trial of McAfee LiveSafe. If you need Microsoft Office, you would need to purchase it. This laptop has a PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. That means you could not install a SATA hard drive onto this laptop. If you still want to be able to use the old disk drive, you could put it into an enclosure with a USB connection. Then, you would be able to connect it to the laptop via USB and still be able to access the files on that old hard drive.
