• It does not come preinstalled and must be purchased separately. You get a discount when purchased with a new PC.

• The Microsoft Office software has to be purchased separately. There is a discount if you buy it from Best Buy, but you have to purchase the software at the time of the time when purchasing the computer to get that discount. Hope this helps.
