Your power cord should not be getting hot, no. We recommend keeping an eye on it, and if it continues to be unusually/unnecessarily hot, then please reach out to our Tech Support team. As far as the 5G connection is concerned, this is reliant upon your home internet service; if your cable/internet plan does not even offer 5G, then it's nothing to be concerned about. The laptop's internet response is still largely dependent on what your general internet speed is, and does not impact how fast the computer is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this unit a few weeks ago. I based this purchase on the touch screen, memory, chip brand and screen size. I knew that this is a mid-priced machine intended for the casual + user. If speed is a factor to you, homework is required before making a purchase such as this, no disrespect intended. Now, to answer your initial question, I have done the full charge and usually keep the power cord plugged in with no over-heating issues. I would take to BB and have them check it out. Do it soon before they won't take it back.
