Hi Lisa, apologies for what you're experiencing. The HP 17-cp0013dx laptop has a battery life of up to 8 hours and 15 minutes. It also supports Fast Charge, approximately 50% in 45 minutes. Many factors affect battery life - screen brightness, use of wifi, working with several tabs and apps, etc. You can adjust your settings to dim the screen a bit when operating only on battery power.
