General rule of thumb. AMD and Intel are competing companies in the same market. Because of this, motherboards that support one of the brands processors will NOT support the other. A motherboard that supports AMD will NOT support Intel and vice-versa. The 2 companies make processors based on different sockets which makes them incompatible. So unless you do some extreme customizing on your own, there's no way to interchange AMD with Intel or Intel with AMD.
