My 37P29UA#ABA installation problems were with ubuntu-20.04.2.0-desktop-amd64, and went away when I installed the newer ubuntu-21.04-desktop-amd64 instead. The newer build also has a driver for the Realtek RTL8821CE-M Wi-Fi. Pat
