in laptops intended for the consumer, rather than the business user, most upgrades are only allowed by "proffesional technicians," as they are not easy. Otherwise, the warranty is voided. However, that doesn't mean they can't be made, if you don't mind the warranty issue. Checkout YouTube for videos on this and see if you think the procedure is beyond your capabilities.
