Thank you for the question. The RAM can be upgraded to 32GB but the slots are not user accessible. HP recommends upgrades be performed by IT professionals or self-maintainers only. HP designs its laptops for optimum power, and performance in a thin and light profile. If you're a creator or gamer, you might want to review the Envy and Spectre series, that have 12th generation processors that can handle multiple heavy loads simultaneously.
