An "open box" means that the computer was bought, someone started to use it and changed their mind-it may be because of buyer's remorse, or they may have decided it wasn't enough computer for what they wanted to do. Because it was used for a very short time it can't be sold as a new unit. As to the delivery date, you'll need to contact Best Buy directly for that.
