You need a two into one jack to make it work correctly. You can get them for as little as $4. That's the easiest way, but if you plug a mic in make sure you click on the DTS settings icon by the clock in the taskbar. You get an option to use internal or external mic. If you plug it in, and it's not working, it's probably not set for external.
