I do the same. The individual that hooked up all our stuff suggested to use the battery once a week. On Monday's, I disconnect from the power supply and let the battery go down to 20 to 25 %. Below 20%, the computer goes into safe mode. It could take a day or two to run down. Then plug it back up. This should keep the battery active. I hope that this is what you wanted.
