Yes . There are 2 ram slots and currently have 2 4mb ram chips.. you can upgrade and swap out the 2 4’s I think up to 2 32mb each to get it up to 64 mb ram
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can be upgraded to a maximum of 64 gigabytes. I don't know why HP says otherwise! It comes preinstalled with 2 4 gigabyte cards. To upgrade you will need a DDR4 memory card that is larger than 4 gigabytes running 2666MHz. I installed a single 32 gigabyte into mine for a total of 36 gigabytes installed. There are 4 screws on the bottom of the case, you remove those and slide the CDROM drive out. 2 more screws are removed from where the CDROM drive was at. Remove the rear rubber "foot" and locate 4 more screws and then gently pry the bottom off of the the keyboard/top section of the laptop. Then unclip the 2 clips that hold the memory in and remove the memory, install the new memory. I prefer to start my laptop at this time to make sure everything is in working order. Mine had to restart twice before it booted up but has worked flawlessly since. Assembly in the reverse order of disassembly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP says it can't so you buy a more expensive laptop!! IT CAN BE UPGRADED AS MANY ATTEST!
