• HP's is the best reply, and "Anonymous" is only partially correct (I can see why he wants to remain Anonymous). It is a common misconception that you cannot return to S Mode once you leave it. To do so, just perform a factory reset (you can Google how to do this). Be warned, however, that this will delete EVERYTHING on your PC, so be sure to do a thorough backup beforehand.

• Yes you can run this model HP laptop outside of S mode, but once you leave S mode you can't return to it. It is strictly a one way ticket.
