Units like this one have a lithium-ion battery and it is considered non-upgradeable because of that. It is not recommended that anyone attempt to upgrade this unit or change the battery that is not a certified expert as tampering with that battery is dangerous. You can contact HP Support or Geek Squad if you are curious about upgrade options for the unit or if you would need the battery replaced. If you were to have Geek Squad do any upgrades, it would not void HP's warranty, but HP will not cover any new parts.
