“I went and bought a hp 25f monitor because, a buddy of mine told me it was a great monitor, needless to say he did tell me it has no built in speakers but my question is are there separate speaker I can get that will connect to the monitor itself?”

Yes there are. I had Logitech speakers with a bass box and attached the speakers to my system. They sound great. :You can control the volume either through the volume control icon on lower right of monitor screen or with a slide disk that also plugs in to the monitor.It works wonderfully and is inexpensive to buy ( < $50> for the whole sound set up. Well worth it. Hope this helps. Bob
