Any monitor with HDMI connectors will work if you have an HDMI port, or if you use a USB-C to HDMI cable or adapter.

If you have the previous model, then an adapter isn't necessary. Information anybody would need for a further recommendation: 1. Screen Size and Resolution Desired (Think about the space the monitor will occupy (size) and how clear (resolution) you want that screen to be!) - Not knowing these can be like a marathon runner wearing dress shoes. It could be attempted, but nothing about that situation would be a desirable experience. Or it can be likened to using a compact mirror to put together an outfit getting frustrated at the mirror for not being the correct size. 2. Is it only for use with the MacBook Air for the Home Office? (Do you intend to play games, watch/edit videos, edit photos, etc. in addition to home office use?) 3. Do you need/want the monitor to have speakers (even if they aren't the best sounding)? 3a. Audio Passthrough/Headphone Jack (for existing speakers/headphones)? 4. VESA Mount Capability (for multi-monitor stands or wall mounting)? 5. Is there a budget or a limitation to what you're willing to spend (including the Geek Squad Protection - Replacement plan)? If all of that seems like an overwhelming list of seemingly made-up words that don't mean anything to you, then head down to your local Best Buy and have a chat with any "Blue Shirt" working in the computing department because they will be able to guide you. Regardless of making a purchase or spending money, they are there to help. Keep in mind: This is all a suggestion....This is not intended to be an all inclusive or comprehensive list of things to know or think about for a monitor purchase, but it is a good start to the thought process that ultimately leads to you making an intelligent informed buying decision that you will feel great about.
