Yes this is a great monitor for gaming, with cinematic, breathtaking games like witcher, you can't even tell that it's a TN panel. The 144hz is amazing, but the only thing is the response time as I chose the fastest setting and flickered when I encountered a light source, this has not happened again so take that experience as you wish. This monitor is also GSYNC COMPATIBLE, something the box, amazon, best buy, even HP didn't show on the product features. So if you have an AMD or Nvidia GPU, freesync mode is viable. Also the freesync/gaming mode must be used to activate freesync. And for 180 dollars you will probably not find a better deal. I used this monitor for fps games such as rainbow six siege, and it is a beauty to play on.
