Thank you for the question. The HP M27h monitor has two HDMI 1.4 ports and one VGA port. It's likely that your HP laptop has an HDMI port and you can connect it with the included HDMI cable. For the MacBook assuming you have Thunderbolt (USB Type-C, DisplayPort) ports, you can either use an adapter or an HDMI-to-DisplayPort cable.
