“Does this computer monitor require a tower to operate? I plan to connect it to my MacBook but I may also just use it on its own so I want to assure I have the proper set up.”

• No tower PC required ... HDMI cable is all you need -- and electricity, of course. I have a Dell "gizmo" that my employer provided which allows me to connect TWO of these 32" monitors to my 15" ThinkPad laptop, and this combination works extremely well.

• Yes you would need some kind of computer to use the monitor.
