Thank you for the question. It should work fine. Fundamentally, G-Sync and FreeSync are the same. They both sync the monitor to the graphics card and let that component control the refresh rate on a continuously variable basis.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.G-sync is just an Nvidia proprietary display refresh rate link from monitor to GPU. Freesync is an open source refresh rate handshake to the GPU. Nvidia cards, AMD cards or Intel cards can use freesync. Only Nvidia cards can handshake with G-sync. IMO - G-sync only monitors restrict gamers to the Nvidia eco system & for this reason I avoid it. I like to have versatility & longevity in the tech I purchase. Because of this, I have been able to use my 1440p gaming monitors for our gaming consoles.
