Thank you for your question on this laptop! This laptop will not run After Effects because it does not have the requisite GPU for it. After Effects requires at least a 4GB GPU, 6GB minimum if you are video in 4K resolution. Also, the processor is the earliest generation that is supported by After Effects. You may want to consider something in the Envy, Spectre, or Omen gaming lines and make sure that the model has a dedicated 4GB or larger GPU, such as one by nVidia.
