I had sticky keys and not able to type...decided it was keyboard that came with computer...bought this new HP keyboard and it was all I needed. I am still using my original mouse and have the new one on hold when needed.

Since the combo uses the same USB receiver, you will need to either remove the batteries from the keyboard to keep it from interacting with the computer or just buy a whole new keyboard/mouse combo set so you only take up 1 USB port instead of multiple USB ports.
