Good question. This printer comes with HP 63 black and 63 tricolor cartridges. You can use either the standard yield 63 cartridges or the high yield 63XL cartridges with this printer. Here are the page yields for the cartridges: 63 Black: 190 63XL Black: 480 63 Tricolor: 165 63XL Tricolor: 330 I hope this helps.
