A:AnswerGood question. This printer takes HP 63 for black and tricolor cartridges. The black cartridge can print up to 190 pages and the tricolor cartridge can print up to 165 pages. You can also purchase XL size cartridges for this printer. The 63XL black will give you up to 480 pages and the 63 XL tricolor will give you up to 330 pages.
