“How many cartriges needed and can we replace seperate”

• Mine came with cartridges. There are two, black and white and color. And yes, you can replace one or the other.

• There is a total of 2 cartridges for the Deskjet 3631. It takes the 63 black and color cartridges. It can also use the 63XL black and color cartridges. The difference between the normal and the XL cartridges is that the XL cartridges have 2.5 times more ink than the normal cartridges. You can replace either the black or the color cartridge when needed.
