There are 2 memory slots. The system memory maximum is 32GB. There is one 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) in one of the 2 slots. The other one is open. The integrated audio is Audio Codec: ALC3601-CG High Definition (Azalia) 5.1 channel audio support. You would need to add additional hardware for 5.1 surround sound support.
