While SSDs are the most common M.2 devices, the interface is not exclusive to SSDs. The motherboard does indeed have two M.2 slots, but only one of them is designed to support an M.2 SSD, which is where the 1TB SSD is installed. The second slot is smaller and is designed to accommodate M.2 wireless adapters, and this is where the computer's wireless card is installed to provide Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality.
