“Does Windows 10 Home come with Word or Excel? If not, will I be able to open transferred files from old computer? Also, if there’s no Word or Excel, I don’t want to purchase a monthly subscription to Microsoft Office. Is there a program I can buy once?”

Libre Office is free, does everything Micosoft does an is compatible with microsoft office.

This Desktop comes with a one-month trial of Microsoft 365. At the end of the trial, you can subscribe for a low fee.
