I was able to find a 500watt power supply for this that was only $140 on the HP website. My system runs the GTX 1660 ti gaming x with no problems. The power supply fits perfectly in the case as well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Keep in mind you cant just replace the power supply. You have to spend 200 bucks for a really crappy power supply from HP. No other power supplies will work. It is a straight up rip-off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP's answer is in conflict with previous answers about power supply. They state earlier that this desktop's power supply is unable to be upgraded in response to other questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can add the GeForce GTX 1050 TI 4GB graphics card on this desktop. You will also need to upgrade the power supply since this desktop comes with 180 Watt Gold efficiency power supply. The graphics card requires at least 300 watt power supply.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can if you select the right card. I am running a single fan Zotac 1050TI 4GB with no issues. The power supply is 180 watts. The Ryzen 5 3400G uses 65 watts with the GPU enabled so disabled you get some of that back but I don't know how much but it should be significant. The 1050TI I have is listed at 75 watts for a worst case scenario of 140 watts leaving you 40 for the other components so not a lot of extra room. Selecting the right video card is critical. Install the 1050 and turn off the onboard GPU and you are good to go. If you have issues for some reason you can always disable the DVD drive which is around 15 watts . Two DIMMS, the fans, motherboard, and the DVD drive should not exceed 40 watts. Since it was designed to add a video card and another expansion card and 3.5 drive they should have taken that into account and hopefully are using an efficient motherboard....I hope.
