It is actually pretty easy to install another RAM stick to this desktop. It just requires opening the case by unscrewing a couple of screws on the right side (when looking on the back). Then, the side can be removed so you can access the motherboard. Here is the service manual, it starts on page 8: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06425327 You would need 1-8 GB DDR4-2666 (PC4-21300) RAM stick for a desktop.
