Great PC for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Best investment for the price on sale and very quite. Make sure you update drivers/apps/ with windows update after you hookup and go online for the best experience. You can also upgrade memory up to 32GB. There's no disk drive but you can add an external one through USB. SSD can also be upgraded or you can add another one if you prefer. I'm not a gamer on PC so I don't know if you can add a powerful graphic card to this unit

Great For Everyday Use
||Posted .My 10-year-old PC finally bit the dust. I saw the specs on this PC and thought it was a good deal at $530. I bought an external CD/DVD writer for $25 to install some of my old software. The performance is great out of the box. I ordered an additional 8GB of RAM for $28 to make a total of 16 GB. The machine will take up to 32GB (Two 16GB sticks.) If you are planning on gaming, this PC is probably not for you. The power supply is only 180 watts and most gaming graphics cards recommend almost twice that amount of power or more. You could upgrade the power supply but due to the motherboard limitations it appears 280 watts is about all you could upgrade to. The Intel integrated graphics UHD630 that is installed on the PC is Intel's most recent version, but it doesn't compare to a gaming graphics card. The I7-8700 processor is not the most recent version of the I7 series but it’s still powerful. Bottom line is if you are using PC for Microsoft Office, web browsing and basic photo editing this PC is great. If your needs demand a high level of graphics capabilities, you might be disappointed.

RAM/Power Supply upgrade
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I am writing this review to provide insight to anyone that is interested in upgrading the RAM or graphics card. The RAM was simple, there is two slots for DDR4 2666 MHz PC4-21300. I upgraded to 16GB (2 pack of 8GB) purchased from Amazon, but Bestbuy sells the same package for roughly the same price (SKU: 6346309). The power supply was the tricky part since most graphic card upgrades call for a minimum 300W power supply. The power supply included is a HP specific 180W with part number L08261-004 with dimensions 165mm x 95mm x 73.5mm (L x W x H) which is different from the part number HP gives in the Q&A section. The power supply has three connectors. Two of which are 4 pin (2x2) and the third is a 7 pin. So a universal ATX power supply could potentially work, but would require some hardwiring and unless you have a strong electrical background I would advice against going this route. I did find a 310W HP power supply that should work since the dimensions match and the connectors also seem to match. The part number for this supply is L08262-004. A google search of PCG007 should get you started. I haven’t received the power supply yet, but I am assuming it will work. If it does not, I will update this review.

A Convenient Value
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed.Bought this for my mother so she could have a decent computer to use for work and browsing the internet. You know, light stuff - nothing intense. And it's actually really good for that! What I like about it is it's pretty small and easy to fit on a desk - we just stuffed it behind the monitor. There are also so many USB ports and it has bluetooth - always very convenient. For the heck of it, I checked out Minecraft on it, and it actually ran pretty well. I wouldn't be surprised if it could run a bit more light gaming, perhaps something like World of Warcraft. So, even if you're planning on stressing it a bit, I think you'd be okay. However, if you're planning on doing more than that, like upgrading it or attaching a 4K monitor to it, then I would definitely not get this product. We tried to attach a 4K monitor to it, and it was just impossible. Essentially, the computer wasn't strong enough for it, and trying to update the drivers was a Herculean task in itself. That's just how it goes, though, with these types of computers. You kinda have to take them as they are, in which case this is a good computer for normal office/web work and probably light gaming on a 1080 monitor, but not much else.

Get It While It's Cheap
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Perfect desktop for me. I'm a graphic designer on somewhat of a budget and I've done all of my work on a higher-end laptop that only had 8GB RAM. If you know anything about RAM and graphic design, you know that's nearly impossible for more rigorous work including multiple programs at once. I don't mind a small hard drive since I work mostly in external HDs or cloud services anyway. I was primarily looking for a reliable PC with a good CPU (i7+) and expandable RAM (16GB+). I prefer to expand RAM than pay a couple hundred extra for it to be pre-installed. I found this deal on Black Friday and had to go for it. I upgraded the RAM to 16GB (32GB max for this PC) for about $50 and this thing has worked wonders so far! It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but at this price, it's great so long as you're not running massive programs without upgraded RAM or gaming.

A good buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. It’s a good computer. No problems so far. I added a 3TB hard drive because the 256 SSD that came with it is just to small. However, I still run may apps from the SSD because it’s lightning fast when programs load from it. I may need to buy an external optical drive because there is place to stick an internal drive in the case. Still, it’s a good buy and serves many basic functions and even video editing which is what in mainly use it for.

Q: QuestionCan this be used for gaming if not what can I upgrade to make it perform good for gaming? Maybe do I need a better graphics card or something like more ram?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer I bought the HP L6491-800 equivalent 310 watt power supply for this unit at https://www.impactcomputers.com/l64961-800.html . It cost $95. It allowed me to upgrade to a $140 75 watt graphics card which doesn’t require a six pin power source which is not available for this PC. The power supply replacement is an exact fit. It has an extra p4 cable which you do not connect. The GeForce 105ti graphics card I purchased is much better than the integrated graphics that came with the PC and max power is 75 watts. It’s old technology but my grandkids can play Fortnite at epic display settings at 50FPS. If you play at mid display settings you can achieve 120 FPS. The best the built in graphics card could do was 30 - 40 FPS at the very lowest display settings. Not much more you can do to upgrade graphics card than what I have shared. The 75 watt power limitation for the graphics card is the bottleneck.
