Ron, thank you for your question about this HP EliteBook and AutoCAD. This is good for basic technical drawing, but has limited rendering capabilities. You may need to consult with the student or their instructor on what components they should have, then partner up with a Best Buy associate in the store. Your best computers for AutoCAD sold in Best Buy are gaming laptops such as the Victus and Omen series, especially if full rendering is required.
