• Hi Den, thank you for the question. The Envy 17-cr0013dx has Windows 11 Home, and you can download files from any origin using any browser. (Note that a laptop with Windows 11 in S Mode can do the same thing if converted out of S Mode. That is a free and simple operation, but not reversible).

• Easy to take it out of S mode. Lots of how-to vids on youtube. S mode socks.

• Yes, this will download and run applications from other places. I have another laptop with Windows 10 in S mode and it is kind of pointless, I wouldn't buy another one like it.
