How the HP 17" Touch Laptop R7 12GB 2TB (THESE SPECS BELOW) differs from HP Envy 17.3" Touch-Screen i7 - 12GB - NVIDIA GeForce MX250 - 512GB SSD + Optane and HP 17" Touch Laptop R7 12GB 2TB (SPECS ON THIS PAGE. Noted here as the 'secondary spec'.) NVIDIA GeForce MX150 vs MX250 128gbSSD + 1000gbHDD vs 512gbSSD NO Hard Drive Accelerator vs HDA RAM Speed 2400 MHZ vs 2600 MHZ 1-less USB Port, diff types though if you need specific types. Basically, 3 vs 4 USB. Included Software: Netflix, MS Office 365 (30 day trial) + McAfee LiveSafe Width 16.4 inches vs slightly bigger Depth 11.1 inches vs slightly bigger Weight 6.7 pounds vs slightly heavier Both:Bang & Olufsen Audio, difference HP Audio Boost vs NO audio boost They also have diff finishes, but that the least in SPECS we usually look at. If you're looking at program power, I'd choose the faster RAM and more storage. RAM can differ a lot in price and is usually a more expensive upgrade, but your RAM access power may mean something to you. HDs are the cheaper upgrade (& some have 3 year warranties) and SSDs are dropping in price as they're getting settled in demand (but I'm not familiar with specs or anything else, yet). Except, SSDs boot up your system much faster, so that's where the Operating System should be located. Saving the HDD for storage of images, music, and programs that don't require speed.
