QuestionAccording to the Best Buy website, the system memory RAM is expandable to 16GB, however looking at Crucial.com it seems to suggest that the maximum memory is 32GB. Does anyone know which is the correct amount of memory allowed for this laptop?

- Answer Here is the information on the USB C port on this laptop: 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C (5 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge). Since the USB C port has the capability for Power and delivery. You would be able to charge through the USB C port. Best Buy does not currently sell an HP USB C docking stations. There are universal USB C docking stations available.

- Answer Because of the i7 processor and 12 gigabytes of RAM, you'll have no problem running most games. The 512 gigabyte solid state drive has plenty of storage space-about 100 DVD's worth.

Noted here as the 'secondary spec'.) NVIDIA GeForce MX150 vs MX250 128gbSSD + 1000gbHDD vs 512gbSSD NO Hard Drive Accelerator vs HDA RAM Speed 2400 MHZ vs 2600 MHZ 1-less USB Port, diff types though if you need specific types. Basically, 3 vs 4 USB. Included Software: Netflix, MS Office 365 (30 day trial) + McAfee LiveSafe Width 16.4 inches vs slightly bigger Depth 11.1 inches vs slightly bigger Weight 6.7 pounds vs slightly heavier Both:Bang & Olufsen Audio, difference HP Audio Boost vs NO audio boost They also have diff finishes, but that the least in SPECS we usually look at. If you're looking at program power, I'd choose the faster RAM and more storage. RAM can differ a lot in price and is usually a more expensive upgrade, but your RAM access power may mean something to you. HDs are the cheaper upgrade (& some have 3 year warranties) and SSDs are dropping in price as they're getting settled in demand (but I'm not familiar with specs or anything else, yet). Except, SSDs boot up your system much faster, so that's where the Operating System should be located. Saving the HDD for storage of images, music, and programs that don't require speed. - Answer Yes, you can choose not to set up the fingerprint scanner or register multiple fingerprints for the whole family. You can even set up multiple Microsoft Accounts with different fingerprints so that each family member can customize their desktop.

- Answer Yes, just push the function key on the top row 6th from the left. 1 tap turns the keyboard lights on, another tap dimmer, another tap off. key looks like a graphic keyboard with 4 lines emanating from the upper half.14th from right, top row.

- Answer I have gotten 6 hours of use, maybe a little more. This was browsing, email and reading news, writing documents as well as stand-by tiime. Downloads, updates and so forth. Have not played any games or watched movies or streaming. Although I did read in HP documentation if you are going to have prolonged use of heavy activity it is recommended you you keep it on A/C power. HP has a nice battery analysis program that helps you keep tabs on battery life/status. Also what to do to discharge the battery and conditioning.

- Answer ---Can the SSD be upgraded to a 1TB SSD? Yes, this version is using a "512 GB Intel® SSD + 32 GB Intel® Optane™ memory". You can change that out but be aware that you would then loose the 32GB Optane feature unless the storage module you replace it with also has the Optane feature. ---what is the maximum RAM capacity available on this computer, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, or more? The documentation "Implies" but does not categorically state that 16GB would be the maximum. Else where in these questions and answers an HP representative states 32GB would be the maximum. I own this maching and have upgraded mine to 32GB. The Crucial website currently states that the maximum would be 64GB.

- Answer No this computer doesn't play Blu-ray discs which I was really disappointed in. It plays standard DVDs and CDs with music. I know there apps out there that say you could download a app to support it, but it doesn't have the software for this computer so don't waist your time. Only way is to by an external Blu-ray player and plug it in what a hassle. I know because I was just on the phone with HP Tech for about 30 minutes. Anyone please respond if this isn't true, but this guy checked all the specs and options and said won't work
