It has a DVD drive, does it play blu ray discs? null

No this computer doesn't play Blu-ray discs which I was really disappointed in. It plays standard DVDs and CDs with music. I know there apps out there that say you could download a app to support it, but it doesn't have the software for this computer so don't waist your time. Only way is to by an external Blu-ray player and plug it in what a hassle. I know because I was just on the phone with HP Tech for about 30 minutes. Anyone please respond if this isn't true, but this guy checked all the specs and options and said won't work

I never tried it, but in my experience if the drive says DVD, it will play DVDs and CDs. If the drive says Blu-ray, it will play Blu-ray(2d), DVDs, and CDs. Hope that helps.
