I have gotten 6 hours of use, maybe a little more. This was browsing, email and reading news, writing documents as well as stand-by tiime. Downloads, updates and so forth. Have not played any games or watched movies or streaming. Although I did read in HP documentation if you are going to have prolonged use of heavy activity it is recommended you you keep it on A/C power. HP has a nice battery analysis program that helps you keep tabs on battery life/status. Also what to do to discharge the battery and conditioning.
