Now I get the blue screen and get the black screen of death And The charging unit has quit I think there are things burned out inside. DOES THIS MODEL OVERHEAT?”

• I also had a DV-7 and experienced the heating issue also. This unit runs very cool so far. Even had stuff stacked on top of it and still ran cool.

• I have the same issues with mine. Had is diagnosed and the charging port was loose. Best Buy doesn't service this model because of age but you may be able to find a tech in your area to fix this problem.

• I have never had any overheating problems. I play lots of games which have a tendency to assist in heating up a computer, but the fan has never been heard even during intense gaming sessions. It has always remained remarkably cool to the touch.
